Episode Guide:

Jeffrey publicly announces that he will vote in favor of Rainer. Marcy can’t believe that her father reversed his support. On the phone, Jeffrey accuses Rainer on the phone of being part of the conspiracy. Marcy secretly listens to their conversation.

Judy tries to get Lucas to tell her about what happened in North Carolina, but he gives her nothing.

The coroner pulls out a radio frequency ID chip from under Morell’s skin. It is something that is used to swipe through a reader.

Marcy confides to Ben about her father and Rainer. She thinks he has something to do with Sara’s abduction.

Lucas and Mei question Jeffrey about Morell, but he doesn’t say that he saw the man threaten to kill Sara in the airplane hangar. Lucas knows he is covering up, and Jeffrey admits that he is forced to vote for Rainer in order to save Sara.

The captive Sara is deprived of sleep and food. A medic examines Sara and then injects her with something. The medic places his hand over a keypad. The chip in his hand accesses the door to open. As Sara weeps, the medic tells a therapist watching that she is “ready.” The therapist acts kindly to Sara, giving her food and turning off the light that is keeping her awake. She is confident that Jeffrey will do what it takes to save her, but the therapist says that Jeffrey refuses to cooperate with the kidnappers, as she saw in the hangar. “It’s as if he really doesn’t want to help you,” he says. Sara is speechless. The therapist convinces her that Jeffrey is moving on with his life. He advises her to give up hope that Jeffrey will come to her rescue.

Judy accosts Marcy. She hands her card to Marcy and offers to talk. “Even off the record, no strings,” Judy says. Marcy confronts her father and asks him whether Rainer is blackmailing him. Jeffrey says he will do whatever it takes to get Sara back.

A satellite phone found on Morell has one numerical code on it, sent as a text message before he committed suicide. The FBI traces it to a train arriving in Atlanta that day. Lucas and Mei go to the train yard and see a man give a wood box to another man. They follow the car to a warehouse.

Lucas sees men in the warehouse that have the rose tattoo. The wood box contains an old document on parchment. The parchment is scanned by laser along with similar documents. A machine feeds the data into a computer where it reads out on a monitor as if they were pieces of a puzzle. Lucas notices that one of the men uses his hand to scan into a door. Lucas takes a copy of Morell’s chip to access the door. He enters and uses his PDA to upload information from the parchments to the FBI.

Suddenly, a man catches Lucas at the computer. Lucas radios Mei to shoot at the outside door. When the man’s attention is diverted, Lucas fights him off. The man shoots the computer and the upload is halted. A guard grabs a copper wheel from the machine, wraps it in a cloth and jumps in a car. Despite Lucas and Mei shooting at the vehicles, all the workers escape. The agents realize that all the equipment has been dismantled. The data servers self-implode. The FBI techie is able to discern that the data Lucas uploaded is in Hebrew and might be biblical. Yet they have no idea how this relates to Sara’s abduction.

The therapist tries to earn Sara’s trust with food. He tells her that she is not leaving anytime soon. Sara doesn’t believe him. Yet the therapist says that the people “here” know her better than Jeffrey and care about her well-being.

A scientific expert notes for the FBI that the information they found was part of the Dead Sea Scrolls, the oldest transcription of the Bible. A man named Hensleigh claims to have seen the Scroll, but he is on death row and is scheduled for execution within days. Meanwhile, Hensleigh has dozens of articles about Sara’s abduction taped to his prison cell wall.

Marcy secretly flies to Washington to see Rainer. She accuses him of being the reason Sara was kidnapped. Marcy threatens to tell the public that she is pregnant with his child unless he withdraws his nomination for the Supreme Court.

Later that night, Lucas finds Ava gathering Kelton’s personal belongings in his office. The two know each other. Ava quickly leaves, uncomfortable around Lucas.

Marcy returns home. She looks at Judy’s business card with renewed interest.

Sara is given recent newspaper clippings. They show Jessica and Jeffrey in the Collins house. She is devastated. Suddenly, she hears a woman whispering her name through the grate on the cell wall. “You’re not alone,” the voice says.
