Jake, I thought that this was your best movie yet. I loved you in all of your other movies and shows to but this was by far the best on in my opinion. You are a great actor and you have a lot of skill. I hope to see you in something soon and hope that it is just as great as hangman´s curse. That was a very unique movie. The only part I didn´t like was the part with the spiders! I am arachnaphobic and that part scared me half to death. I was like WHY?!!?!?! Why the spiders? But I handled it.
I just think that you are the best 19 year old actor that I have ever heard of or seen. Good job on all of your success and good luck in the future. I really liked this movie and I hope to see great things from you in the near future. <3 Rayne

i was talking with me one friend jon at the park one time. he was like climing on the play area when i said "u no u remind me of Ian." he looks at me with a crazy face and says "who". "Ian from Hangmans Curse," (me) "OH thats the best movie." (jon) haha my other friends that were there r my BFF Danita and her coolly o bro Jesse. we were like Danita u a have to be Alisha. she got mad bc we all r punk (jons gothic) and she was like y cant i be the girlfriend. Jon gose "well breanne has the hair," (i have red hair) so we were joking about it the rest of the day on who would be who. i was glad that jon got to be Ian bc Jake is cute goth and so is Jon! i think that guys with longer hair is cuter then shorter hair. i loved the movie, it was awesome. I love the fact that it some what focused on the goths and all the rest of the people who get made fun of in school by the jocks and all the rest of the preppy people just bcause their diffrent. It would be cool to be able to flip the script and get back at all the people who think that their just so wondeful ya okay the only reason they dont get made fun of is because they dont have a mind of their own and end up looking and acting like everybody else. I just saw the movie like an hour ago. I thought it was a pretty good movie, but I was dissapointed about how different it was from the book which I just finished reading a few days ago.

the movie was as good as the book, which if you´d read you´d understand why crytal and ian weren´t the main characters, but in the book they are more major than they are in the movie...they have to change some things when the put a book onto screen...they didn´t do too bad in this case. i agree with smackfan_16 though that crystal and ian conforming. you can be goth and still be christian, i know several people who are and i hate when small minded people think that once a person becomes a christian that they should never be goth. there´s a way to reconcile both

Worst movie I´ve ever seen, ever. As much as I hate Christians, I can´t help but feel a little sorry for them in that they embarass themselves so tremendously every time they they try to carve out a place for themselves in art. I mean, watching this movie expecting a horror thriller or a statement on the ridiculously rigid social structure of highschool is like popping in a DC Talk album expecting a real rock band - there´s no payoff. The acting and the dialogue it vomits out in jagged fragments of nonsensical cliches is mind numbing, especially in the case of the cartoonishly stupid character played by the author of the book the film is based on. The actions of the characters are unbelievable and uninteresting, and every relationship feels forced and fake. A family of agents battling the forces of darkness out of their RV are the heroes here, although by the end I was hoping they´d get theirs and come down with the curse that renders it´s victims....well, I´m not actually sure what the curse is supposed to do, except provide an excuse for dumb looking photoshop effects. Truth is after watching the film I´m still not sure what the message is supposed to be. Is it that the beliefs of a certain religion should be forced onto society nazi germany style (which seems to be suggested by the "dumb blond mouths off to teacher" scene) or is it that happiness and wearing preppy clothes go hand in hand, and that the only reason for dressing Goth is a deeply troubled spiritual state (which is very clearly suggested by the last "outcasts conform to the norm" scene)? I just can´t tell!

I think that movie was so well done. And i think Jake looks pretty good but im not about to go all googoo eyed all over him! The book and the movie are so different but i like the movie better.i think..........I just wish that in the next book [Nightmare Academy] had Ian and Crystal in it but ohh well.
