I thought the movie was good. The acting was pretty good. My favorite character was Silas the huntsman. He reminded me of Strider/Aragorn/Estel/ so many other names from Lord of the rings. I loved the part when the princess through Silas´s long bow in the firl I´ve seen this video at Blockbuster (and have rented it) and have asked my parents to buy me it for my birthday.

I cannot believe some of you people! I admit, some of the props looked terrible but the acting was quite good! I think the script was excellent and I know a lot of people who liked the movie! I´ve seen it about three times and loved it all three times. Return the two wasted hours of my life? The movie was not amazing but it was good, and was worth the two hours of time I spent to watch it.

This was just BAD, BAD, BAD... I wouldn´t have even watched the entire movie if I had TIVO´d it and kinda felt obligated to watch it considering it took up a valuable 2 hours of my TIVO. I cannot believe that the people at the Sci-Fi would give this a thumbs up and run it! The acting was horrible (except for JRD of course), the script - complete garbage. The only redeeming quality were the dragons...they looked relatively life-like (if that possible considering they never existed to begin with). When will new directors ever learn that a great script is worth 100x the special effects of any movie? All in all, I am sending the Sci Fi channel a letter demanding them to return the 2 hours they stole from my life and one to my cable asking them to credit my bill for 2 hours this month!!

I´ll admit the plot was kinda lame at points and there WERE only five dragons...but the charecters were well thought out. Silas the Hunstman reminded of a ranger from LOTR and of course John Ryes Davies is awesome. The dragons all had spectacular deaths (let´s here it for going down in flames! woohoo!). I couldn´t help laughing hysterically at all the stupid people who would just scream and wave their arms when they caught on fire (or just jump off a really big wall. ROTFL) and I cheered when the one evil dude got his head bit off. Despite it´s weaknesses I thought it was a pretty good movie and I hope Sci-Fi airs it again so I can tape it.

Cool effects do not save this drek from bad writing, directing, and acting. Actually - the writing and directing may have been so bad that NO actors could have salvaged it.
